BC REFORM OFFERING BC ONLY CREDIBLE OPPOSITION IN 2001

VANCOUVER, BC - Reform BC will not be ‘splitting the vote’ as we are running a good team of nine Reform candidates in this election. What we are attempting to do is provide a stronger voice of opposition to ensure that the BC Liberals feet are held to the fire. There is the real possibility of a potential Sweep of a 70 plus seat liberal government. "I believe that we need a new and strong voice in this next legislature, hopefully Reform," says Reform BC’s Ron Gamble.

Electing a strong and credible opposition like Reform BC means holding this Liberal government accountable.

· Accountable to their promise to provide a complete and honest accounting system.

· Accountable in developing a plan in finding better solutions to a better choice in Education and in a better Health Care system.

· Accountable in developing a better environment for both the public and private sector, and in protecting British Columbia’s resources.

The NDP could be finished as a political party. Do you really want a Liberal Government sweep of 79 seats? Reform BC’s nine candidates would do far more than nine more Liberal backbenchers. "Unless your questions are asked in the legislature, you will never get an answer," says Gamble.

Who is going to keep this Liberal government honest? Another Liberal? These nine candidates are prepared, if elected, to ask questions, to keep this Liberal Government accountable.
