NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
July 26, 2001
Dear Member:
We are advising you that our Reform BC Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2001 at the Holiday Inn, North Vancouver, located just off Highway 1 (phone 877-985-3111). Enclosed is the proposed agenda and registration form.
According to Article 8.3 of the Party bylaws, Members entitled to vote are those people who have been Members in good standing for not less than 60 days prior to the date of the AGM (i.e., Members in good standing since July 30, 2001).
The Board of Directors or any committee or task force established by the Board or a recognized Constituency Association may, by resolution, propose amendments to the Constitution, Principles, Bylaws and Policy Direction.
Proposed resolutions are to be submitted to Shirley Abraham, the Party Secretary, 45 days prior to the AGM (i.e., by August 14, 2001). The Secretary shall mail proposed amendments to all members who are registered at least 15 days prior to the AGM (i.e., by September 14, 2001).
Because of the events that have taken place over the last year, it is difficult to determine the Reform BC members who currently support the Party and who do not belong to another provincial party. Some of the former Members of the Executive and Directors of the Party and Constituencies violated their trust by trying to deregister the Party and used our Party membership database to promote another provincial political party. If you are aware of others who still support Reform BC but who did not receive this Notice, please advise them to contact the Party office.
Registration for the working session of the AGM will be limited to those who have confirmed their membership by contacting our Party Secretary (Shirley Abraham) at 604-594-8688, or our Office Manager (Barb Smith) at 604-929-8434, or their Regional Director.
A fee of $65.00 is required with your registration form for this AGM, which will include all amenities for the day at the hotel and a special Chinese Buffet Dinner to be held at 7:00 p.m. The Party will be able to provide you with a receipt for income tax purposes, as well as reimburse you for any additional costs to attend this event (such as hotel and travel expenses), provided you give the Party your receipts and make a donation to the Party to cover the same. If you have any questions, please contact the Party.
Yours truly,
Ron Gamble

President
