Coquitlam- A survey of 1,158 respondents throughout British Columbia relating to sex education, books in classrooms involving same-sex parenting, same sex marriages, and outside participation of agencies in children’s education. This survey has an error rate of plus or minus 3.0% 19 times out of 20, @ 98% competency rate.

Commentary

The Ministry of Education needs to clarify what its mandate is for sex education in schools, especially Elementary Schools. British Columbian parents with younger children in these schools, of all races, are very upset.

The Ministry of Education needs to clarify what its mandate is for introduction of books into classrooms in primary grades as it relates to same-sex marriages. British Columbian parents with children in primary grades, of all races, are angry.

Respondents are extremely upset over same-sex books in primary classrooms as to discussion of sexual intercourse with children in primary grades and discussions of oral and anal sex with children in grade 8. Most say “that’s sick”.

Same sex marriages are fast becoming more acceptable by British Columbians. Will increased exposure in our schools on same-sex lifestyles increase tolerance towards a homosexual culture and eventually denigrate traditional values?

This survey was initiated by events, which took place in my youngest daughter’s elementary school, and my oldest daughter’s middle school, both located in my constituency of Port Moody-Westwood.

Sincerely,
Glen P. Robbins
