Commentary
Much has been said in the
media about the state of affairs in BC
politics after two years of the BC Liberals
in office. We have recently published
percentages of public support for BC political
parties based on a riding-by-riding basis.
This is consistent with first past the
post, or conventional electoral voting
in the province. This survey reflects
the popular vote, as some ridings in the
province have lower turnouts for voting
than others vote.
Although the riding-by-riding
percentages are consistent with our electoral
system and reflect circumstances as they
are, the popular vote provides insight
as well.
