PRE-ELECTION WAR CHEST

To all current and past members of Reform B.C., there must be a reason why you are still or were members of Reform B.C. I must say that the type of democracy we have in Canada is more of a democratic dictatorship. The only thing that's democratic is that every four or five years there is an election called and we have the opportunity to kick them out and put in another dictator. Do you really have a say? Does anyone ask you what you want? Does the MLA that you voted for really represent you? Not really. He or she must follow party lines or get kicked out of the party.

We all know that the next provincial election will be held May 17^th 2005. We know that swinging back and forth between the two main parties does not do any good - all you get is the same old garbage. If you are tired of the same old dictatorial politics, now is the time to try someone else. Never mind their experience. It just doesn't help. Reform B.C. is the ONLY political party in B.C. that will truly represent their constituents and finally give you a voice in what happens. What if Reform B.C. elected enough MLAs to hold the balance of power? Now is the time to help get Reform B.C. candidates elected so your voice can be heard.

The reason I joined the party in 1994 was to change the system and give democracy back to the people of B.C. With the two main parties receiving large donations from corporations and the labour movement, it is hard for smaller parties to compete with donations coming from their membership and supporters. Membership in all parties has a habit of shrinking between elections. With an election coming up we need all of our members back. We need new members and we need "MONEY". Any amount would be gratefully accepted and used properly. Remember tax credits are issued on donations over $10.00, so please renew your membership and rejoin if your membership has lapsed. If all our current and past members were to send us a donation of $10.00 it would be amazing what it would do for our "WAR CHEST".
