It is with regrets, that
you no longer support the purposes of
Reform BC, and it is with sadness that
as a former Honorable Premier, you will
be purported as one responsible for the
destruction of two political parties.
At your meeting on February
10th, 2001 held in Aldergrove, you proposed
“a motion to deregister the Reform
Party and seek by way of a vote the support
for the decision from Reform Members present
at the Convention in Kamloops in February.”
A meeting that did not have a quorum of
voting members.
You have absolutely no
authority what so ever to even suggest
a resolution of that sort, especially
when it is neither supported by a majority
of the Board or Members of Reform. The
meeting you go to is a Unity Party meeting
not a Reform BC meeting.
Meeting with Ross McQuarrie
on Thursday February 15th he agreed that
you did not have a quorum and that the
list of directors prepared by Bob Zayonc
had left off Caroline Meridith as a voting
member. You Believed, by not recognizing
Andy Loogman , out of 12 voting members
you would have six out of five voting
members in attendance. The fact that you
did not recognize Andy is supported not
only by Ross but also by Ray Feenstra
and Terry Milne.. (see enclosed). Non-voting
Directors are recognized and aloud to
speak at Board Meetings but not aloud
to vote. I, myself, am proof of that.
I was elected in a non-voting position
as an Ex-Officio Officer by the Members
at an Annual General Meeting and as such
not counted as part of the quorum.
As for Welsh,Zayonc and
Hall who supported your motion to deregister
and not run Reform candidates in the next
Provincial Election, are also seen , by
their actions, to not support the purposes
of Reform BC “PURPOSES 2.1 To operate
as a political party within the Province
of British Columbia.” and as such,
as well as yourself, no longer deemed
by Reform Bylaws (1.1) to be a Member
of Reform BC.
Yours Very Truly
Ron Gamble
Ex-Officio Officer
